Online running coaching

So if you hadn’t noticed I’m a little obsessed with running and enjoy helping others achieve their running goals. I have a small group that I coach through the means of ‘the internet’ because well technology is also another obsession of mine..

Approach

  • Training is targeted towards a goal race
  • No cookie cutter programs, every runner is different and requires different programming, which will be tweaked along the way because of ‘life’
  • I’m influenced by a lot of different sources, so I wouldn’t say I follow any specific philosophy but absorb bits and pieces from many
  • I use Final SurgeĀ for coaching. This allows me to set up your program which you can access on the website or app. You can also link your GPS watch so it automatically updates the program, and can send me feedback and comments on how the run felt. I can also add comments and feedback on training

My background

  • I first took up running in 2013 and honestly it’s changed my life, I want to share that with others
  • My running experience is across cross country, track and road racing with a preference towards longer distance events. I’ve completed 3 marathons and many half marathons and shorter events
  • Qualified coach with Athletics Australia – Level 1 Run Leader and Level 2 Recreational Running
  • I’m familiar with a wide variety of coaching philosophies including the Australian method, Lydiard , Jack Daniels and Pfitzinger to name a few. I’m also influenced by other coaches and athletes, mainly through my club Western Athletics.
  • As an obsessed runner you will often find me reading running books, magazines, listening to running podcasts, attending seminars on running, reading forums, chatting to people about running. Basically I don’t think any coach or runner knows it all, there is always things to learn and different approaches to take in training šŸ™‚

I am a busy working mum with two young boys and did not think that I would have time to train for a half marathon.
