I’m amazed at how fatigue has snuck up and hit me like a brick wall this week. As a result training changed to focus on recovering in time for the upcoming half marathon.

Quote from the coach, “So I dropped one session this week to try to lighten things up for you”. Great! But then the end of the week rolls around and I realise that I have been deceived into running more kms than last week, over only four days.. what!

Ben running Australia Day Fun Run 26 January 2017

I am training to run my second marathon targeting Melbourne Marathon 2017. After a slightly disappointing first marathon I'm hoping to go better this time! Training begins 6th of February 2017 and will be a 36 week program to Melbourne Marathon! I'll be documenting my training and adventures along the way. Want to know more? March 2018 Update:
Melbourne Marathon 2017 - 3:46:53 ✓
New goal underway - Gold Coast Half Marathon 2018 / XCR'18 ah perhaps not... injured.

November 2022 Update:
Great Ocean Road Marathon - 4:09.34 (Marathon split 3:53.46) ✓
I'm currently training for track and 5km and planning on either Sydney or Melbourne marathon in 2023
