Great Ocean Road Marathon 2022 build
In December of 2021 I commenced training for my return to the marathon. My last marathon was Melbourne Marathon in 2017, it’s pretty crazy writing that and realising how long its’ been between marathons!

In May of 2020 I started training using the plans from Matt Fitzgerald’s book 80/20 Running. This included a 15 week half marathon training block followed by a 9 week 5km training block. Here is a summary and my thoughts on the training programs.

Hello readers, it’s been a long time between posts again with well over a year gap since I last posted. 2020 has been a strange and interesting year so far. We started the year with bush fires which cut our annual Falls Creek altitude training short, which has almost been forgotten with COVID-19 and stay at home measures making most of us feel pretty isolated and probably a little crazy and that’s why many people decide to make their own gym at home using resources from https://www.commercialgymequipmentdesign.co.uk/.

Hit a few milestones this week with my first 30 minute continuous run, progressed from 3 runs per week to 4, and back to the You Yangs for the first time in 6 months!
