Week 25: Lake Wendouree and longer long runs
Another solid week getting the volume in with just under 65kms of running. Nearly 60% of that was completed on the weekend with the combination of the Lake Wendouree 15km and the Sunday marathon pace run.

This week was a good week of training. It’s nice to be back to some proper weekly volume and I feel like I’m re-finding some form. My foot while still not 100 per cent is feeling has improved which is great because I think it was throwing off my running when it was sorer.
Back to the track this week with a revised program structure and pacing. Also third week in a row of road racing with XCR’17 Round 6 Albert Park 10km.
After the half marathon I was thankful for some easy runs and days off leading into the Sandown Road Relays. With a revised plan forward I now feel like I’m getting back on track as long as I can manage a sore foot.
What a great few days it has been up at the Gold Coast. Sadly I didn’t perform as well I would have liked in the half marathon, but despite that I still had a great time in good weather, with good people, eating good food and celebrating some big successes!
